Rescue

There are a few breed specific Cavalier Rescue groups in the United States. We are an approved Foster home for CRUSA (Cavalier Rescue USA). As a guardian of the breed we feel it is important to help some of those dogs who are much less fortunate than our own. It is not their fault they are in the situations they come from. Many of these dogs are raised in puppy mills, by backyard breeders (people who do not health test, or raise dogs to the accepted breed standard), or are in need of homes due to a hardship within their original home.

To adopt a cavalier through CRUSA click here, and fill out an adoption application. Please make sure you have the time to devote to rehabbing a cavalier who may not have been raised in the most ideal situation. Adoption fees vary from $150-$600. All dogs come altered, accessed in homes prior to placement and with current rabies vaccination.

Our CRUSA Foster dogs…

Sophie (AKA) Itty Bitty

SophiePickUp  sophie5

Sophie; (ADOPTED) Sophie was a peanut of a dog only weighing 8 lbs. She came from a puppy mill situation. She was 3 years old and had no idea what a toys, treats or a household  was. She did not even know how to act like a normal cavalier.

Sophie Update: Sophie is doing great now and as you can see, she is very loved!

Dolly

Dolly1  Dolly2

Dolly; (ADOPTED) Dolly is a sweet little girl. Her and Sophie came in together from a puppy mill type situation. Neither were crate or potty trained. Our home with multiple children, other cavaliers, and a parrot was a big change for them. It didn’t take long for these girls to come out of their shells.

Harley

HarleySide  HarleyLap

Harley; (ADOPTED) Harley came to us needing to gain some weight (5 lbs), manners and basic training. He is very thin. We could feel every rib and all of his back bone very easily. He is a sweet little boy that has meshed well into our busy household.
